Avery Ucker is pretty sure that, way way way back, her earliest primal relatives were badass queer femme lady apes who were absolute branch-swinging dynamos.

Her circus journey began with a flying trapeze class on a random Saturday in 2016, and what began as a once-a-week hobby eventually became something that she quit her job and moved to the other side of the country to pursue.

She has trained, coached, and performed in San Francisco and Chicago, and is currently training full time in Vermont at NECCA’s acclaimed ProTrack program.

When not on a trapeze or cuddling her dog, Avery can be found eating popcorn untidily.
